"What’s the cost difference between a haircut and a trim?"
Cuts and trims are the same price since each takes us the same amount of time and attention for detail.
"What if I don’t want a blow dry with my service, is the price still the same?"
Yes. A blow dry is included as a complimentary addition to any service, and therefore doesn't impact the price either way.
"Why is there such a wide price range for balayage and highlights?"
This is due to the fact that we get a wide spectrum of requests related to balayage and highlights. As a general rule, the more drastic of a color change you’d like and the thicker longer your hair is, the more product and time is required; thus, the more expensive the price is.
"I need to cover my grey hair and I also want highlights. Does that cost extra?"
Yes. These are technically two different services, and are charged as such. Covering grey hair is a single process color and would be considered one service and highlights/balayage is another service.
"How much is it to come in and just talk about my hair so you can see what I want?"
We don’t typically charge for consultations; however, we do ask that you book an appointment and show up on time for each consultation. Since we don’t charge we block out a minimal amount of time, so promptness is crucial.
"Should I come with clean or dirty hair?"
Clean it up! To ensure consistent even results we highly recommend coming into your appointment with clean (washed day before or morning of) hair.
"What’s your cancellation policy?"
We know that life happens and plans can change unexpectedly. We’ll try as hard as we can to be flexible and reschedule as much as possible. However, for cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment, we do charge a 50% fee for your planned service cost. Just like you, our time is precious to us and we want to spend as much of our days as possible working with amazing people like you!
"Do you require a deposit?"
For larger services, such as full balayage, color correction, etc., we do require a $75 non-refundable deposit (Don't worry! This goes toward your service when you show up). For most other services, though, we do not require a deposit.
"How much time will my appointment take?"
Single process color and/or cuts typically take around 2 hours.
Highlights—with or without a cut—typically take around 3-4 hours.
Big changes and color correction can take up to 4+ hours. For these, please be prepared with a snack and something to pass the time.
Haircuts typically last 1 hour.
